The Story
The Miele SES 118 Hose is used for S500-S600 series Miele canisters as well as converting non power head Miele S5 series vacuums to electrical power head capabilities.
This is a direct connect electric hose.
**Please Note, if you have a corded power head, you need the SES 113 hose. (The S514 Solaris for the fist 2 years it was made, requires the SES 113 hose).
The direct connect feature allows for swivel hose action as well as an on/off switch on the handle to control the brush roll. This makes going from carpet to hard floors a much easier task saving the user time while not losing any of the cleaning power
